I just end up with a headache, an empty wallet, and embarassed by the teams I pick to go through. That wanker Thierry Henry, just like Ever Banega, scores on the Net when he shouldn't. Made me look bad for slating him the other day. I give up. I'm not watching the damn thing anymore.Eddynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20283321.post-83327597966016028552008-01-10T16:25:00.000+01:002008-01-10T16:25:00.000+01:00@tamudo_89_minThe beauty of the FA cup is the sing...@tamudo_89_min

The beauty of the FA cup is the single-tie per round. This gives the 'lesser' sides a chance that on the day they can beat a side that would beat them 9 times out of 10. The Copa del Rey has been devalued for many years because it's not just over two legs, but the side in the uppoer division gets the second tie in the round - a massive advantage. Hence, they often field the equivalent of the reserve side until they get to the quarters or even the semis, when there's a chance of a trophy. Winning the FA Cup is a big deal and can make a season, even for clubs expected to win the Premiership. This is not the case for the top Spanish clubs, mo matter how much they bleat on about it if/when they win it.Gonzalohttp://allinwhite.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20283321.post-67336023553427684772008-01-09T17:30:00.000+01:002008-01-09T17:30:00.000+01:00Interesting your comment about some in Spain wanti...Interesting your comment about some in Spain wanting to see a more FA cup style contest.I think they take the Copa far more seriously here than English Prem teams are taking the Fa cup. Last weekend no end of prem teams were knocked out due to fielding understrength sides. Barcelona have even delayed Etoo's departure in order for him to play in the Copa, demonstrating the importance of the competition.Tamudo_89_minnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20283321.post-33947635065728662662008-01-09T16:02:00.000+01:002008-01-09T16:02:00.000+01:00faringoamigdalitis - does that mean he's got a sor...faringoamigdalitis - does that mean he's got a sore throat?
